Safe rail operations are essential for our employees, customers and society. We follow applicable regulations, assess risk in our work tasks, and ensure that both personnel and equipment are competent and sound.

Our employees are our most important resource. We provide a safe working environment at terminals, in traffic control and on the trains, with a focus on training, wellbeing and preventing strain injuries.

Freight transport by rail is one of the cleanest ways to move goods. By shifting cargo from road to rail, we contribute to lower emissions, less noise and fewer heavy vehicles on Norwegian roads.

We have established routines for incidents, undesired situations and deviations. Every deviation is recorded, followed up with measures and used for learning, so the same error is not repeated.

All personnel hold documented and up-to-date competence for their tasks. We follow up training, refresher courses and certificates systematically throughout the year.

Terminal operators, maintenance suppliers and other partners are part of our safety chain. We place the same requirements on them as on ourselves.
